By accessing and using Razor AI Tutor ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Razor AI Tutor is an AI-powered educational platform designed for South African students in Grades 10-12. The Service provides:

  • AI-powered text, voice, and video tutoring
  • Subject-specific learning across Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Sciences, and Life Sciences
  • Progress tracking and study tools
  • Curriculum-aligned content following the CAPS syllabus

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be at least 13 years of age or have parental consent

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

Razor AI Tutor offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in South African Rand (ZAR) and may be monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, or annually. By subscribing you agree to:

  • Pay all applicable fees for your chosen plan
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the billing date
  • No refunds for partial billing periods

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts
  • Submit academic work generated by the AI as your own without proper attribution
  • Abuse, harass, or harm other users in group sessions
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service

6. AI-Generated Content

The AI tutor provides educational assistance. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI responses are generated dynamically and may contain errors
  • The Service does not replace professional educational instruction
  • You should verify important information with official textbooks and teachers
  • We are not liable for academic outcomes based on AI-generated content

7. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, logos, and software of Razor AI Tutor are the intellectual property of Razor AI Tutor. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Razor AI Tutor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time through the settings panel.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
